Jeanne Andersen
Writer
Jeanne Andersen grew up with a cat perched on her shoulder and a dog that was at times mentioned in the local newspaper for his crazy antics around the town’s main street shops and fire station. From a young age, Jeanne was enamored with animals and the powerful impact she believes they have on humans. She is a natural-born writer and from childhood has been penning short stories and poetry about the beauty of travelling and the adventures she could experience in the world around her. She transformed that talent into a successful speaking and writing career as an adult.
After graduating from East Carolina University with a degree in Business, Jeanne made the decision to join the United States Armed Forces. For six years, she served as a member of the US Navy. During that time, she was stationed in many diverse areas of the country and had the opportunity to travel and experience some of the adventures that she envisioned as a child. These explorations reawakened her imagination and helped provide Jeanne with the inspiration to pursue her true passion, writing.
Her love of animals and her creative spirit are what inspired Jeanne Andersen to pen her latest illustrated children’s book, My Super-Special, Kinda-Human Dog named Louie. Jeanne creates a world where a child’s fantasy of having a conversation or going on an adventure with their best, furry, four-legged buddy comes to life. Children will delight in the action packed day they get to spend with the friendliest, smartest, and most likeable dog around, Louie. From learning Kung-Fu to going on a safari, to navigating harsh waters on the open seas, there is never a dull moment with the energetic little Lhasa Apso.
Written in a fun modern rhyme, and brought to life with breathtaking illustrations, My Super-Special, Kinda-Human Dog Named Louie, is all about getting out there and trying new things. Jeanne hopes her book gives kids the desire to learn new things, imagine exciting possibilities, and truly love life.
Jeanne Andersen is a talented children’s book author based out of Saint John’s, Florida. When she isn’t busy creating exciting worlds for children to imagine and explore, Jeanne spends her time with her loving husband and three beautiful children.
